This problem can occur when: - Your computer uses Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) for power management. - Your computer contains an Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) video adapter. - You run a program that uses DirectX after you resume your computer from Suspend mode or Standby mode. (i.e you're monitor(s) have turned off, you move your mouse/press a key to bring everything back up, and then run the app) You need to check the following files on your computer to see if they are the same as the dates and versions shown below (or later) if they aren't you need to get hold of the latest copies of these files (just post back here and i'll dig them out for you). File name Version Date Time Size --------------------------------------------------------- Pci.vxd - 4.10.2017 - 6th November 98 6:28pm 65,919 bytes Pcimp.pci - 4.10.2017 6th November 98 6:33pm 16,240 bytes Normally, this only applies to DX6 drivers, so I would assume that something has overwritten these files with earlier versions.
